As part of this mission, Tata Communications is looking to hire a Jr Customer Service Executive for the Platform Planning & Network Design team. This operational role is essential for ensuring smooth day-to-day network and platform planning activities. It offers a great opportunity for individuals with a foundational understanding of telecom infrastructure and a passion for technology to grow within a global organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine daily operational tasks related to platform and network planning.
- Support the execution of design and planning of telecom network infrastructure.
- Monitor network health and assist in identifying areas that require optimization.
- Collaborate with senior team members to ensure consistent adherence to performance standards and Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
- Conduct basic troubleshooting related to network capacity, transmission, and planning issues.
- Document and maintain records of network planning operations and capacity usage.
- Ensure smooth coordination with other technical and support teams for effective implementation and maintenance of network systems.
- Assist in identifying potential improvements in existing systems to support scalability and reliability.
Required Skills and Competencies:
- Network Design & Planning: Basic understanding of how network architecture is designed, implemented, and optimized for performance.
- SDH (Synchronous Digital Hierarchy): Familiarity with SDH technologies and their role in telecom transmission.
- Network Capacity & Transmission: Ability to assess capacity needs and understand data transmission fundamentals in telecom.
- Troubleshooting: Foundational skills in identifying and resolving network-related issues.
- Telecom Knowledge: Exposure to the telecom domain and awareness of industry standards and protocols.
- Proactive Mindset: Ability to anticipate potential issues and work towards solutions before they impact SLAs.
Candidate Profile:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Telecommunications, or a related technical field.
- 1–2 years of relevant experience in network planning or telecom operations.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work under direct supervision in a team-oriented environment.
- Willingness to learn, adapt, and grow in a fast-paced and evolving technical environment.
